What I wear in winter

Since I started commuting over a daily distance of 45 km from November on, I had only a short while to adopt to it before winter hit us. So, the bike got studded tyres. But how about me? How do I keep myself warm? Well, by applying the layer technique. The picture shows what I wear on days where the temperatures are below -8° C at 5.00 o'clock in the morning.

Winter clothes

Additionally I wear a pair of Hanwag hiking boots, very warm and waterproof.

And this is what commuting looks like in winter. Care for your bike! (Here the travel bike without studded tyres)
